Tamika Murphy joined the AccessHealth Spartanburg team in 2013. She is an RN care navigator for the Healthy Outcomes Program Spartanburg (HOPS).
Tamika's duties include enrolling uninsured clients in the community into a wellness program aimed at decreasing ER utilization and providing primary care. She attends medical appointments with clients and facilitates connections to community resources. She conducts home visits to assess any barriers to care and needs.
Tamika is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Upstate with an associate's degree in Nursing. She returned to USC Upstate complete her bachelor's degree in Nursing in 2015. She is currently pursuing her degree in Family Nurse Practitioner Certification with anticipation of graduation in December 2018. She was awarded the Rachel Marie Evans Nursing Scholarship for 2018 through the Spartanburg Regional Foundation. Prior to joining AccessHealth Spartanburg, Tamika was a hospice case manager. She also has experience with cardiovascular specialty.
Tamika enjoys reading and listening to music during her free time. Tamika and her husband, Mike, are the proud parents of three sons: Mike Jr., Malik and Mekhi. She enjoys volunteering in the Spartanburg community with healthcare events to serve others.
